Help & Getting Started
New to Lehaka? Here's how to get the most out of it.
1. Finish your profile
Head to Edit Profile and add your instruments, genres, a short bio, and your location. A complete profile is what other musicians see when they're searching for someone like you, and it's required to earn a "Verified" badge.
2. Add a track
Upload a recording or paste a SoundCloud/Spotify link from the same Edit Profile page, so people can actually hear you play.
3. Find people to follow
Use Search to filter by instrument, genre, or city. Follow musicians you want to keep up with, and switch your Feed to the "Following" tab to see just their posts.
4. Post and jam
Share updates, photos, videos, or audio from the composer at the top of your feed. Turn on "Make this a collab thread" to invite others to reply with their own recorded part.
5. Find gigs, bandmates and gear
- Musicians Wanted - post an ad when you need a player, or answer one to join a project. Its tabs also let you find musicians and bands, and offer or find lessons, session playing or mixing.
- Events - upcoming shows, open mics and jams. Post your own show so people can say they're going.
- Gear Market - buy and sell instruments and equipment.
6. Get booked
- Hire for your event (under Events) - play weddings and private events? Create an event listing with your prices and samples, and people planning an event can send you a booking request.
- Studios - own a rehearsal room or studio? List it for free with photos, prices and equipment, and musicians can request a session.
Everything you post is gathered on My Listings, where you can edit, pause or remove it. Booking requests arrive in My Bookings and in your messages.
7. Manage your notifications
You can turn the weekly digest notification on or off any time from Account Settings.
